Dr. Redmond recomends that you do the following before planting a deer food plot.
1. Soil Test before you plant and thereafter once each year
This will give you the amount of Lime and fertilizer needed for your food plot.
2. Prepair the seedbed.
3. Select the seed for the food plot
for the spring Iron-Clay Cowpeas
for fall Forage oats or Rye ( please note Rye not Gulf Coast Rye Grass) these plant combinations tend to work best in our sandy soils
